Japan Trip: Kyoto - Kiyomizu-dera Temple

This place is amazing and has beautiful views... Kiyo (pure) mizu (water), this temple as such is named after the sacred spring that flows from the mountain. Plenty of greenery and mountain/city veiws. The stage area is interesting, especially hearing of how in traditional times people would leap off (basically suicide) to prove their bravery...

The water tastes really good! but the lines are long. Otowa Waterfall

The main hall's broad wooden veranda which juts out over a wooded canyon. Supported by 139 pillars, 15m high, it gives a panoramic view of Kyoto. It is the origin of a Japanese proverb, "Junping from Kiyomizu Veranda" which meas to take a determined step..
